Since campus-wide IAS training has ended, how will new hires who have
joined my group learn about our purchasing system?
The initial formal training period is over but new hires can, for instance, learn from the
experience of others within your group. Additionally, we have created training software for
iProcurement now available at
http://ias.rockefeller.edu/video.php.
You can also contact
Chris Keogh (x8199, keoghc@rockefeller.edu)
in purchasing for help with iProcurement or Toby
Fishman (x8305, fishman@rockefeller.edu)
in Finance for Award Status Inquiry (ASI) assistance.
Will this new IAS System solve all of my problems?
Definitely not. As pointed out in the Out of Scope section of the IAS website, the IAS
Project will not replace or alter many of the campus systems, as they cover specific
areas that the IAS technology does not address. Also, one system cannot meet the needs of
everyone in the large RU community. Compromises need to be made. Throughout its entire
life, the IAS Project Team will work with the RU community to obtain feedback and make
improvements, but the scope must be limited if the Project is to succeed in the first
stages.
